What is impetigo?
Impetigo is a skin infection which is common in young children but can affect people of all ages. Impetigo can be unpleasant and is highly contagious. That said, it’s not a serious condition and can improve itself over time. To help clear up impetigo faster, treatment can be provided.
How to treat impetigo
There are treatments available to help clear up impetigo. Treatments for impetigo include:
- antiseptic creams
- antibiotic tablets.
If our pharmacist confirms you are suffering from impetigo, they will be able to supply you with treatment during your appointment. You will not need to visit your GP for further diagnosis or a prescription.
